该研究采用动力学仿真和流体力学的方法，通过对车辆在水上行驶时水渗入发动机的现象进行仿真来分析结果。仿真得到的预测结果和实验结果相吻合。

该模型也使用了使用RecurDyn和Particleworks的动力学x流体力学仿真。
