In this tutorial, you will become familiar with the MBD for ANSYS module that runs in the ANSYS Workbench environment. You will model a simple inverted pendulum which is mounted on a base which can move side to side. The pendulum can be balanced in its upright position by applying a sideways force to the base. Initially this controlling force can simply be proportional to the angle of the pendulum from vertical.
